– Backing is a Polly polypropylene which is not machine washable
– Backing has soil release and stain protection built in
– Recommend dry spot cleaner like “Capture” and vacuum
– For non-slip recommend rug pad underlay, many types available at many local stores
– Total Rug thickness just under half an inch, about three eighth of an inch

This was our first experience with Log Cabin Rustic’s and we were so disappointed. We received this Casual Cowhide Roan Rustic Rug that we thought would be soft, decent thickness and have at least some what of a cowhide feel. We were very disappointed in this product. The rug is thin, rough in texture and not one bit of a cowhide texture/feel to it. The pictures look nothing like the product we received and certainly not worth the price we paid for this. We looked to do a return and it would cost us 1/2 the cost we spent on it just to ship it back and restock it – charging us for initial shipping, return shipping and a % for a restocking fee. So we are stuck eating the cost for a rug that won’t be used and is certainly not in any condition to try to resell it at the price we paid! Anyone looking for buy this product you can have ours for 1/2 price!!
