Viking Northwoods Pine 4 Drawer Deacons Log Bench
This log sitting bench is both beautiful and practical with 4 deep storage drawers. Great in the front entry hall, living room or any bedroom with a rustic log furniture motif.
The top of this pine log deacon’s bench features a hand draw-knifed log rail that skirts the sides, which can double as a barrier to keep your knick-knacks from falling off the top of this log bench/chest.
Hand-crafted in a creamy colored knotty pine, the rustic log furniture piece comes standard in a clear lacquer finish which really brings out the beauty of the wood.
Options include a Honey Pine finish and an unfinished option is also available. Other options include laser engraving of the corners of the top drawers with a pine cone and boughs. See “Additional Images” thumbnails above for examples of finish and other options.
The face of this deacons bench is solid pine and the 2-inch top and drawer fronts are constructed from laminated pine to ensure strenght and stability. The corner posts, drawer handles, tops and drawer fronts are all hand draw-knifed, which, in addition to the character of the wood, adds even more uniqueness to this piece. The corner posts are 3 inches in diameter.
Top-quality dove-tail construction is the order of the day when it comes to the drawers for this deacon’s bench, which are also lined with Aromatic Red Cedar to give your rustic log furniture bedroom that wonderful woodsy scent. The drawer slides are side-mounted on rollers with an epoxy coating.
