This handcrafted blue stain pine bed features 3 framed and beveled panels in the headboard and footboard. The bed is constructed from genuine “blue stain” pine lumber recovered from fallen trees in the Rocky Mountains and will make a stylish addition to your rustic bedroom.

This handcrafted bed features:
– paneled headboard and footboard
– clear-coat catalyzed lacquer finish for lasting durability
– side rails that connect the headboard and footboard with sturdy brackets
– wooden cross slats that support boxspring and mattress

The wood used to craft this beautiful and unique furniture is from recovered fallen pine trees in the Rocky Mountains. The “blue stain” is a result of microscopic blue stain fungus that has a symbiotic relationship with bark beetles. The “blue stain” is not always blue, the discoloration shades caused by the fungus can range from blue to brown, gray to orange, or purple to red. The performance and strength of the lumber is not compromised by the fungus staining.

The works of nature such as scoring, tracking, spots, dots, natural decay, along with the effects and coloration from aging, enhances this natural wood. Dimensional lumber gives you a continual contrast of color, texture and patterns.
